Participation
Code of conduct
How we work together during the workshop.
The workshop brings together people from universities, agencies, ports, utilities, tribal and First Nation governments, and companies, across two countries. We expect everyone to help make it a place where each of them can contribute.
Expectations
- Treat every participant with respect. Disagree with ideas, not with people.
- Make room. Invite quieter voices in, and do not dominate a session.
- Listen to knowledge that comes in forms other than your own. Indigenous knowledge, operational experience, and scientific results all count.
- Respect data. Do not share data, figures, or documents beyond the room without the owner's agreement.
- No harassment of any kind: unwelcome comments about identity, unwanted attention, intimidation, or disruption.
Reporting
If something happens that you want addressed, speak to any of the conveners, in person or by email through the contact on the home page. Reports are handled in confidence. Organizers may ask a participant to leave a session or the workshop.
Attribution
Ideas surfaced at the workshop belong to the group. Outputs will credit the workshop and, where a contribution is clearly attributable, the contributor. Ask before quoting a participant in public.
